Forgoing the typical wall portrait Emplicity is rewarding and recognizing employees with the keys to a new Mercedes Benz.
Emplicity PEO and HR Outsourcing Services is breaking the Employee of the Month mold with their “Driving to Success” Program by handing over the keys to an E-class Mercedes Benz with the words “Employee of the Month” emblazoned on the side for to the employee who best exemplifies the company’s chosen theme for that month. Employees each cast a vote and the top two names get sent to the Executive Board who chooses the winner. This program is the brain child of Emplicity’s Chief Simplicity Officer, Vic Tanon, and has proven to capture the attention of commuters throughout the southland.
Lorraine Ontiveros, 23, won the Mercedes in July when, in a landslide victory, her co-workers voted her as the employee who best embodied “Positive Attitude”. In that same month, she also celebrated her third anniversary with Emplicity. Ontiveros began with the company on a part time basis but quickly turned into a full time asset and now act as Emplicity’s Benefits Administrator. The company was more than happy to offer the car to Lorraine, not only because she garnered over 1/3 of the votes, but also because she has commuted to the Irvine Headquarters everyday from her home in the city of Commerce. She laughed as she recounted the initial reactions that she got from passersby.
“The first time I drove the car people were waving, giving me a thumbs up and even taking pictures of the car and it was a bit distracting, in a good way. It kinda felt like I had the paparazzi following me…like I was famous.”
