California Minimum Wage Increase – 1/1/16!
Effective January 1, 2016, the California minimum wage will increase from $9 to $10 per hour. Employers should also be aware that the minimum wage increase impacts requirements for certain 'exempt' employees. These exempt employees must now earn at least twice the minimum wage, or $41,600 annually. California employers will be required to post a new minimum wage notice. If you're a client of Emplicity, our team will provide you with this new minimum wage notice soon. If you have immediate questions or need further assistance, you may reach out to our HR team at 1-877-476-2339.
